Last fall a friend and I moved to England from September to February. Here are some snippets from those days. Sorry for being a douche and shooting in portrait most of the time.

Includes bits of Matt Smith, Rooster Teeth, Hey Rosetta! and several other adventures.

Saying that I don’t miss this would be quite the lie.

I’ll be on my tablet, drawing pretty things for the interwebs! <3

London’s Southbank

gooooood morning

gooooood morning

magicxgirl asked: "Do you have anywhere you'd recommend people check out in and around London? Either attractions or places you thought were cool? There's a couple of places I thought of, but they all seem very tourist-y."

Well if you’re here there’s always the basic things to do:

I’m a history nut so I’ve done the Tower of London and the Jack the Ripper walks and the National Portrait gallery a dozen times.

Things I love doing though:

Start at Tower Bridge and walk along the Southbank all the way down to Westminster Bridge. Takes half an hour to an hour and I do it pretty much every other night. It’s my favourite place here. Make sure you do it after dark, when all the lights are on. And take your time, there are magical little alleys and such along the way to duck into and explore.

I went to Camden town on my first weekend here (go on a saturday). It’s packed and full of every type of person - but it’s the most legit market I’ve even been too. And massive. I still haven’t been to every corner of it. It’s a maze, going underground and over water and part are on boats; it’s a huge space and still fits into every nook and cranny. The first time you go you’ll walk out looking like Russell Brand.

  • The BBC Television Studios/London Studios
I’m sorta a dick for suggesting it because the BBC is moving from White City now, but it was spectacular being there. The London Studios are great too though.. it was awesome going to see where my fave shows were recorded. PLUS I went to see shows being recorded: Alan Carr’s New Years Specstacular, The Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2012, Richard Hammond’s Secret Service, This Morning, Jack Whitehall’s Backchat, ect. So if you can, try and catch something being recorded (The London Studios are still at Waterloo).

And also just walk around! I love going out and walking mindlessly all over the place. I feel very safe in London and the atmosphere is great. You can start off at Baker Street, end up on Oxford Street or Regent Street, then wander through Soho (and Chinatown) and you’ll probably end up near Piccadilly Circus, or Trafalgar Square. Wander down the Mall too, the land around Buckingham Palace is spectacular! I know the city like the back of my hand now - and this is the best way to do that. Even if you just dedicate one evening to exploring like this.

I literally just stood outside of the Tower of London for two hours, at dawn, imagining what it looked like when anne boleyn got proper beheaded.

it’s 10°C here in london

and it’s -28°C with the windchill back home in the maritimes

this is tropical for me
